Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board (DAMB)

The Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board consists of a chairman and 15 board members, of whom seven are official and eight are non-official, nominated by the government in the following manner:

Official Members

1. The Director, ex-officio Vice-Chairman of the Board.
2. Two representatives of the Development Department of the Government, of whom one shall be from the Agriculture wing and the other from the Cooperative wing.
3. One representative from the Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs of the government, not below the rank of Deputy Commissioner.
4. One representative each from DDA and MCD, who shall belongs to the planning wing of the respective body.
5. The Agricultural Marketing Adviser to the Government of India or his nominee.

Non-Official Members

1. Two Agriculturists, being members of the market committees.
2. Two members representing the organization of agriculturists.
3. One member elected in the prescribed manner from the traders and commission agents licensed under section 80.
4. One member representing the cooperative societies marketing in agricultural produce.
5. Two members representing the interests of consumers, of whom one is a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Delhi.

The Vice-Chairman shall function as the Chief Executive Officer of the Board. 

The chairman, the vice-chairman, and the official members hold office during the pleasure of the Government, and every non-official member holds office for a period of five years.
