The Right to Information Act, 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. It is an initiative by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions to provide an RTI Portal Gateway for quick access to details of First Appellate Authorities, PIOs, and more.

Procedure of Filing RTI under the RTI Act, 2005

Request for information should be made to the PIO with a fee of ₹10, paid via cash, demand draft, or Indian Postal Order in favour of APMC, Azadpur.

Information charges: ₹2 per page.

If the information is not satisfactory, an appeal can be made to the First Appellate Authority within 30 days.

Application fee of ₹10 must accompany all RTI requests, payable to APMC, Azadpur.

Fee for information under Section 7(1):

  • ₹2 per A4/A3 size page created or copied
  • Actual cost for larger size paper
  • Actual cost for samples or models
  • No fee for first hour of record inspection; ₹5 for each subsequent hour or part thereof

Fee for information under Section 7(5):

  • ₹50 per diskette or floppy
  • Printed material: actual price or ₹2 per page for photocopies

Note: No application fee for applicants below the poverty line.
